Polypropylene strap is an economical material designed for light to medium strapping applications. It is used for bundling & securing loads in the Construction, Corrugated and Printing industries (including newspaper sector where high speed bundling is needed). It tends to be replaced by PET strap in several applications where the difference in cost is significant
Application: The PP Strap can be applied by hand tools (manual, battery, pneumatic), by semi-automatic or by automatic machines. The strap joining can be done either by welding (friction welding, welding tongue, ultrasounds) or with the use of seals
Types:
- Hand grade is a lower-cost strap which is developed for manual applications in which hand strapping tools are used and therefore higher camber & curl strap values presented are not a problem
- Machine grade straps are used in fully-automatic or semi-automatic strapping machines
Dimensions: Widths between 5mm and 19mm, thicknesses between 0.35mm and 0.90mm
Winding: Depending on the strap’s quality and dimension, the paper core can have internal diameter of: 60mm, 150mm, 200mm, 280mm, 400mm, 407mm
Surface: Embossed
Colors: White & black as standard colors but any other color available upon request. Printable
